A TikTok effect for Take Five to Stop Fraud that tests whether you can spot AI-generated images.
Stop Muscle Guesser is a TikTok effect Ollie made for Take Five to Stop Fraud. It launched in March 2024, when Take Five also launched a new TikTok channel, as part of a push to get people training their "Stop Muscle": the idea that the act of stopping to think is one of the strongest defences against scams.
The effect is a quick quiz. It shows you a series of pictures and you decide whether each one is real or AI-generated, gaining one point for every correct answer and losing two for every wrong one. In its launch week it ranked in the top 1% of TikTok effects.
Ollie also posted a paid partnership video for the launch, captioned "My Stop Muscle is on point", asking viewers to take five and share their score using #StopMuscle. It has more than 1.1 million plays.

I'm a creative technologist with 10+ years in AR. My filters have been viewed more than 32 billion times across TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram, and I'm a Snapchat ambassador. Through my company, tnySocial, I build custom apps, games and AR for artists, influencers and brands, made to fit their brand and their audience. Before that I built AR campaigns at Zappar and led AR development at Poplar Studio. From London, based in Los Angeles.
