FilterTok turns the AR filter games people play on social media into a standalone iPhone app. Players browse a collection of trending filter games and play them hands-free with their face, voice or movement, compete for high scores, challenge their friends, and share their best moments to TikTok, Instagram and Snapchat. The challenges are constantly updated, so there's always something new.
Ollie co-founded VRL (Vir Reality Labs), the company behind FilterTok, and shaped and ran the product. It launched on the App Store on 2 January 2025, is free to play with an optional Premium subscription, and is listed under Games, Photo & Video, Casual and Music. It has been updated steadily since launch and holds a 4.1-star rating from more than 2,600 ratings on the US App Store.
Players film their attempts on TikTok. @mr.reactorr's "Filtertok face filter challenge is so hard!" video from January 2025 has almost 600,000 plays, and it's the clip shown here.
